Gracelyn Turns 6

This year Gracelyn turns six!!!  She wanted a "Friend" Birthday party.  Soooo.... We did one!  We didn't want to leave anyone in the neighborhood out and she wanted some school friends to come so we had like 14 invites to the party.  I think 12 came!  Needless to say, It was a large good turn out! 

 

Gracelyn had games we played outside and of course, cupcakes and ice cream!  She was happy with the Party.  Mom was glad when it was over :}

After the kids sang Happy Birthday to Gracelyn we had them all sing it in Chinese!!  They did awesome!

 

Lastly, One of the gifts that Gracelyn received was a Hello Kitty Beauty pack.   It included the eye covers that you sleep with on.  She said that night she was going to wear them to bed.  I thought she would have forgotten but NO.. when we tucked her in and kissed her good night we saw this cute kid asleep LIKE... this>>>

Such a little DIVA! All she needs now is furry ones covered in rhinestones!

 

Back To School Night

This was Abigail's impression of Gracelyn's back to school night. Lol! We felt the same way but could not express it the same way!

Gracelyn's 1st day of First Grade

Gracelyn is now our little First Grader.  Gracelyn continues to be in the Chinese Immersion Program at Syracuse Elementary.  It is amazing how much she learned in Kindergarten and we are excited to see her continue on the journey of learning.  Abigail was excited to take her to school but was a little lost later in the day with her gone.  She is wishing she could start school too!

Abigail's 4th Birthday

This year Abigail turned 4.  I can't believe how fast time has flown by.  She is growing up by leaps and bounds.  She seems to be growing up faster than her sister since she is trying to keep up with her sister.  This year instead of our traditional "HUGE" family parties we decided to scale down and just celebrate as a little family.  Abigail wanted to go swimming for her Birthday.  Luckily we are able to have "FREE" parties at her Me ma and Grandpa Martinez pool.  So we had a great day swimming a little cupcake and ice cream to celebrate.

The morning of her Birthday we went to I-Hop for breakfast and she was shocked when the servers brought her some ice cream and sang her "Happy Birthday"!

Grandparents

This summer we were blessed to have Grandma and Grandad Bass up to visit.  They came up to also participate in my little brothers Eagle Scout court of honor presentation.  They were also able to see their Great Granddaughters dance in their dance recital! It was wonderful to have them here!!  We tried to spend as much time as possible with them.  I unfortunately did not take many pictures, but will treasure in my heart the time I did get to visit with them.  They were probably grateful when I left because my new little Avalena was a colicky little fart and was very fussy at night!
Right before they left to go back to Arizona we had dinner at the Golden Corral.  Luckily My husband took a few pics with his phone!

We Love the 4th!  We love to Celebrate America and what a great nation we live in!  While we remember our country we also Celebrate Bills Birthday!  We take advantage of the great matching t-shirt deals and love to get a family snap shot!  This year we were a new family of 5!
